For me, I value education more than money. Before I took this job as a cook at Carl’s Jr., I told myself that whatever happens, school always comes first. I took the job so that I could help my mom with bills and stuff. And I wanted to save the money for my days in college. But I guess this spring semester got me good. I’ve been working at least 30 hours every week and I haven’t had time to study. So, I finally decided to quit after a year of working there.

I am a bit sad. Yesterday was my last day of working at Carl’s Jr. It was fun working there. I’m glad it was my very first job. Sure, sometimes it can be frustrating and tiring working in there. But there were a lot of good moments that I really enjoyed it and literally laughed my ass off from times to times.

One of the things that I’ll never forget is that there is a ghost/spirit living there. Hahaha it sounds kinda silly, doesn’t? But all of us went along. We named her “Isabel”. She was murdered when she was 4 years old. Now she’s 11. Every Wednesday, she likes to “play” with us by turning the lights and hoods off randomly. I remember on that one day when I worked till midnight. It was the first time she played with me. So I was in the restroom… peeing. Then suddenly, the lights were turned off. It was so dark. I kept telling myself not to look towards the toilet section because something might be crawling out xD HAHAHAHAHA it was so creepy.

I guess I better stop here hahaha. I’m gonna miss everyone there :’) Now I can look back and tell my kids that I used to work at that fast-food restaurant.

Story of my life.
